Walking into the church Saturday morning and getting a big hug from the groom, I knew it was going to be an amazing day. I feel like I say this every wedding, but my couples have amazing friends and family! And Marissa and Adrian picked the most awesome people to stand up for them on their wedding day.
From their wedding ceremony at their church in Suffolk to their portraits in Virginia Beach, this couple had an amazing wedding day surrounded by their loved ones. And my second shooter Jess and I had an amazing time capturing it all!
Since Marissa and Adrian had a hotel room at Founder's Inn, they got permission for us to take a few portraits on the property. Usually I wouldn't recommend having the bride and groom's portrait time at the end of the timeline, because it worked really well for their timeline. And since we had mild temperatures and a mostly cloudy day, I knew we were going to have an amazing portrait session.
I just love images like this, because it's so symbolic. The wedding day is the first day of the rest of your lives together... the journey starts here on this day... and from this day on you will travel hand in hand.
I was so glad that Jesse and Tamara tagged along for this portrait session. It's always so nice to have someone on hand to hold the bouquet or help fluff the dress.
I was so happy to have Jess shooting with me today. She ROCKS portraits and I was fist pumping at my desk when I saw this bottom left image in her set. GORGEOUS!!!
Did you just get a shiny new ring on your finger?
