Whitney and Brandon had done an engagement session with another photographer before booking me for their June wedding, so when I asked what they wanted to do for their engagement session with me, they said "Whatever you want to do."
It's not very often that I get complete artistic license as a photographer, unless I set up a stylized shoot. While I love the variety that comes with all the different weddings and engagements I have, there are a couple of great locations that I've been itching to try out.
And one of those was the Adam Thoroughgood House. It's a cute little historical property tucked back in a residential neighborhood and we had the place to ourselves last Thursday. I had an amazing time wandering the property with these two and I can't wait for their White Stone VA wedding in just 10 weeks!
I was a little bummed that these archways weren't all filled out with green, but I think we were still able to get that intimate feel I'm always looking for.
Whitney's engagement ring is so stunning! It's not often that you see this shape, so I really loved shooting it!
