Jennai & Sean - First Landing State Park Engagement Session

Jennai and Sean’s story begins at the Virginia Gold Cup Races. One of Sean’s happily dating friends decided to spend his day at the races scouting the crowds of girls in floral dresses and fancy hats for a new girlfriend for Sean. And after they stumbled upon some lovely ladies playing corn hole, he introduced Sean to one of them and they started chatting. Sean followed up by asking her out for a drink. And as it turns out, that lovely lady was not Jennai, but her roommate.
And after their first date, Jennai’s roommate came home and said, “Jennai, I think you’d really like this guy.” And as it turns out, she did.

Sean had dreamed up the perfect plan for proposing to Jennai. They often spent Sunday afternoon cooking dinner and drinking wine, so he had a wine label designed with their picture and a proposal message. He had decided to casually mention that he’d picked up some new wine and have her pick up the bottle. But when he found out Le Diplomate, the restaurant they’d chosen to celebrate her birthday, offered corking service, he knew that would be the perfect time. She’d never suspect a thing! And to make sure that she didn’t, he made sure to give her a birthday gift, a necklace, before the wine came to the table. And when the custom wine bottle arrived at the table, Sean slipped from his seat, got down on one knee and asked Jennai to marry him.

Jennai and Sean live in the DC area, but they will be getting married here in Virginia Beach. I'm so glad there were down in Hampton Roads for a wedding so we could do their engagement session here too! I can't wait for their September wedding day!

Newly engaged and looking for a wedding photographer for your 2015 or 2016 wedding? I'd love to chat with you!
