I'm so excited about today's blog post that I don't know what to say.
I'm a full time photographer!
I've been planning for this announcement for months. As usual. I was planning to work my tail off and quit my "day job" a couple weeks before wedding season began. But things didn't really go according to plan.
I don't exactly know why God wanted me to transition during "slow season", but His guiding was pretty clear. And here we are.
How's that for honesty?
I'll be posting some more over the next couple weeks about what this change means for Caitlin Gerres Photography, but for now I'm just excited to dive right in.
I'm so excited that I'll be able to devote my full attention to all the wonderful couples and families who love my work and want me to be the one to capture their most special moments.
But even though this is "slow season" and most people aren't requesting winter portrait sessions, I'm anything but bored right now. I was blessed to have a wedding right after Christmas, so I'm busy finishing that up and I have a looooong to do list of fun business tasks and systems and decisions to make over the next few weeks. But I won't bore you with the details.
I just want to say thank you. For all of you who have supported my business over the past couple of years, you've meant so much to me. Because you've supported my DREAM! Like I tell every bride that emails me, I am SO BLESSED that this is my job!
I eat wedding cake for a living! (And I earn that wedding day cake, believe me!)
All kidding aside, I am so excited that God has brought my little business to this point and I can't wait to see what is to come in 2014!
