There's no sweet tooth post this month. Sorry. I'm trying to keep cooking in this kitchen to a minimum before we rip the sucker out. There's not very much usable counter space, so it would just be a nightmare.
But I did want to share a little bit about our new house! We're so excited to finally have our own place, but there's lots of updating to do. The house was built in the really beautiful time for home decor called the 80s, so we basically want to replace everything. At least that's what it feels like.
We love following Young House Love (And you should too. Check them out!) so we're making a big list of all the things we want to update in each room, like they always do. (Here's the one for their new place.)
I'm not quite as brave as they are, so I won't be showing before pictures until I have some afters to show you, but I hope to be back at the end of the month with photos of a completed living room and kitchen! I can't wait!
Until then, I'll leave you with a few parts of the new house that we love so much (please read sarcasm here)!
Please notice the very tilted towel rack. The bar doesn't stay in.
Also note the generous over-painting on the doorknob, and how the bedroom walls match my outdated jewelry boxes. Maybe it's time to replace those too!
Stay tuned for a fresher, more modern looking home!
