Continuing the "Giving Thanks" theme for the week, I wanted to say how thankful I am for my clients! Multiple times every week, I pause in the middle of my work and think to myself, "I have the best job in the world!" And sometimes I say it out loud, because when you're at home by yourself all day sometimes you talk to yourself. At least I do.
I hope I never lose my gratefulness for this job or my appreciation of the couples who trust me to photograph one of the most meaningful days of their lives. The wedding day is the day it all begins. And for the rest of their lives together, they will look back on that day and remember the way they looked at each other, the catch in her throat as she read her vows, the tears in his mom's eyes, and the overwhelming feeling of love they felt with all their loved ones around them. I tell my clients that it's a joy and an honor for me to be their wedding photographer, and I mean it! Being allowed into such a sacred and special day is truly an honor. So for all you wonderful CGP couples, thank you!
The past two years being full time with CGP have taught me a lot about myself and one of those things is how meaningful words of appreciation are to me. Don't get me wrong, I love a good hug, but if I got both a handwritten card and a hug from my clients, the words in the card would be what makes me all warm and mushy inside. Here are just a few of my 'love notes' from 2015 wedding couples:
