A Double Feature Day: The Black Tie Bride and Tidewater & Tulle

When a photographer starts a wedding blog, you know you'll always find gorgeous images on that site, but when two photographers like Justin & Mary start a wedding blog, you know the bar is set really high for quality photography.

When I submitted Rachel & Tyler's wedding to The Black Tie Bride, my finger paused above the mouse for a moment before clicking send. I was nervous, because I thought Rachel & Tyler's wedding was a perfect fit for their blog and I knew that if the feature was turned down, it was because my photography wasn't good enough. If you know Justin & Mary, you know how much pressure that is!

And thank goodness, I didn't have to wait long until Mary's answer bounced into my inbox. "Ahh we LOVE it!!! And we would love to feature this on BTB!" Cue dancing in my office chair. There may have also been some jumping up and down. And then I was so excited that I called my husband at work to tell him. When he said "I'm really excited for you, but I don't think I understand how big a deal this is," I called Amber, the second photographer from that wedding. I knew she would get it! (And her gorgeous work paired with mine was the reason we were featured in the first place!)

And now, here it is, in all its beauty: Rachel & Tyler's Norfolk Botanical Gardens Wedding on The Black Tie Bride.

And if one feature isn't enough for a happy Monday morning, I'm so excited to have Anne Marie & Myles's wedding at the Woman's Club of Portsmouth featured on Tidewater and Tulle too! I knew Chelsea, the editor, would love all of their rustic personal details and their joy-filled day! Their fun fall engagement session was published there last year, so this is the perfect way to come full circle! See their feature here.
