Burdens ~ HRC Photo Challenge

This week's photo challenge inspiration word is "chore" but I'm going to use the word "burdens" instead, (I'm already cheating, remember?) because it does a better job of capturing what happened on Sunday.

Sunday afternoon the ladies from our church got together for Connected Cafe. Our goal was to connect with some of our church's missionaries. And they graciously shared with us. They shared struggles as well as funny stories. But mostly they shared ways we can pray for them.

And now we have a responsibility to carry those burdens. Now that we understand the exhaustion that can come from week after week of meetings where you sleep in a different bed every few nights and your children have to be on their best behavior all the time. Now that we understand the difficulty of spending Christmas away from family in a different country with different customs. Now we have to pray. But now we know how to pray.

Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ ~ Galatians 6:2

It was a great joy for me to use my photography to bless this group of women, many of whom I still haven't had a chance to meet. Ryan and I are so thankful for our church and all of the wonderful friends we've already made and how they continually encourage us to serve and love Jesus.

I've mentioned that I'm obsessed with detail shots, right?
