Keri & Ryan: Yorktown Freight Shed Wedding

She walked, the tulle layers of her skirt floating across the grass with each step. In one hand she held her bouquet, a handkerchief, and her vows. Her other hand tightened into a fist with excitement. She had waited what felt like a lifetime for this moment. And here it was. Today they would join two hearts, two lives, and two families into one.

Ryan turned and tears immediately sprung to his eyes. He always thought Keri looked beautiful, but this moment surpassed them all. After borrowing her handkerchief to dab his eyes, he reached for her, resting his hand tenderly and protectively on her arm.

In a few hours they would stand before their friends and family, recite vows, and commit their lives to each other. But this moment was just for the two of them. For vows written from the heart. Promises to support each other, to put their children first, to love unconditionally and without hesitation. Promises for her to be the best she can be for him, and him for her. To share the dreams, hopes, and goals of the other. Promises to encourage, uplift, and respect each other.

How cute is this little brick house? I want to live here!

Keri had both her dad and step-dad walk her down the aisle. It was so sweet!

Stylized Shoot ~ A Garden Elopement

This beautiful young couple's relationship started with two cups of tea at a café in Yorktown, VA. Savannah and Erik knew they wanted to pledge their lives to each other. So on a beautiful early spring day, they eloped at a bed and breakfast in Yorktown. Their wedding day was simple, intimate, and perfect. And at the end, they were husband and wife. And that was all that mattered.

Garden Elopement Stylized Shoot ~ Sneak Peek

Saturday was an amazing day! Over the past month, I've been planning a garden elopement stylized shoot with Tianna of Truly Ty Photography.

We worked with some amazing wedding professionals: Karen of Aleen Floral Design, Emma of

Sweet Emma Lou, Jenn of Just a Lil Studio, and Phil at the Hornsby House Inn. Makeup and hair was done by Tianna's fabulous assistant, Kelley Manning.

Here's a sneak peek to tide you over until the full blog post in a week or so. And if that's not enough, you can check out our Pinterest board to see what we were inspired by and check back here tomorrow for another image from the shoot inspired by the photo challenge prompt "frame your subject."
