Deb & Cody: Renaissance Court Wedding at Norfolk Botanical Garden

They stood together in the garden, their hands clasped together as a tartan ribbon was wrapped and knotted around them. His hands, firm and strong and reassuring. He was her anchor, her champion, her perfect complement. Her hands holding tightly to his. She was his greatest treasure, the brightness of his life, his home.

The hand-fasting ribbon hung from their hands, a symbol of their commitment. A promise of love that would always be present and that would run between them throughout the years. A promise to value and find sanctuary in each other. A promise that the separate paths of their lives would now be joined and shared as one. A promise that in the days and years to come, each tender act and each loving word would be the echo of their wedding vows.

Deb & Cody put so many thoughtful touches into their day. Starting with her bee hair comb and his wolf tie pin, the #wolfandbeewedding was a perfect representation of the two of them as a couple.

Deb & Cody met at a West Coast Swing dancing competition (Read their story from their engagement session), and many of their guests are friends they've met while dancing all over the East Coast. So it should come as no surprise that their first dance was absolutely beautiful. I've seen a number of choreographed first dances over the years, and I love it when a couple shows off their dance moves for their friends and family, but these two are on a level all their own. They move completely as one, and I could have watched them dance all night!
