Girls' Weekend in DC

This past weekend was the annual JJKC (Jess, Juli, Karen, & Caitlin) girls' weekend. Jess and I have actually known each other since kindergarten and the four of us became really close friends in college. Every year we take a quick weekend trip away to catch up, since we live all over the East Coast. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably noticed a lot of pretty architecture pictures on my feed over the weekend. Seriously, DC has the most beautiful buildings!

On our list this year: the wax museum, the National Portrait Gallery, the American History Museum, the monuments, and the National Postal Museum. Here are some favorite shots.

The wax museum was a ton of fun and basically one giant selfie! And I got to be the 'president', so clearly that was fun!

Also, a quick note on a few musts from this trip:

- Dangerously Delicious Pies: YUM! Savory pie is quickly becoming a girls' weekend tradition and this place is delish! Out of the restaurants we tried in DC, it was our favorite!

- The National Postal Museum: Trust me! I know this place sounds BORING, but check Trip Advisor. It has a ton of good reviews and is super fun and interactive! Look, we even got to make a fake postage stamp of ourselves!

- DC Metro and Bus App: Knowing where you're going before getting on the metro is key, and being able to zoom in on the metro map is really helpful.
