Coffee with Caitlin: Emily from E&E Special Events

Coffee with Caitlin: Emily from E&E Special Events

Choosing wedding vendors who fit the style and budget of your wedding day can be difficult, but getting to know the people behind the business often makes that decision much easier. In this series, Coffee with Caitlin, I want to introduce some of my favorite wedding vendor friends… or friendors as we call them.

Today’s interview is with Emily, one half of the husband and wife duo at E&E Special Events. Emily bakes delicious wedding cakes, and Ezra is a DJ. How fun is that? So while they work together, they both have very different jobs! Ryan and I were able to work with them at Alicia & Jordan’s wedding at Lesner Inn in June. Ezra kept the dance floor hopping all night and as soon as the night was over, I was already wishing for another piece of the almond cake with strawberry filling that Emily had made. It was SOOOO good!

Today’s interview is with Leah of Blush Tones. I was able to work with Leah for the first time a year ago at the Heirloom Blush and Berry Styled Shoot. I loved how she transformed our model, who usually has a boho look and wears little makeup, into an elegant bride without making her look overdone. Leah and her team specialize in bridal, special occasion, and pageant makeup to make sure their clients are always looking red-carpet ready.

Today’s interview is with Lindsay and Nadine, the lovely ladies behind Snapqube. Snapqube is a sleek, modern photo booth that makes an amazing party favor for wedding guests! The monitor on the outside of the photo booth plays a rotating slideshow of pictures from the event and a Snapqube employee is on site during the event to put together your keepsake album. (A duplicate of each photo booth strip is added to an album so the bride and groom get all the photos too!) Two other awesome things about Snapqube… the booths are handicap accessible and they now offer open air photo booths, so you can fit even more friends into the photos! I love a wedding photo booth and the ladies from Snapqube are the best in the biz!

Today’s interview is with Jill, the owner of Sunkissed Events. Jill and her team work to provide stress-free and memorable events for their clients all across Virginia and North Carolina. While some wedding planning companies focus only on the logistics of the event, Jill offers her design expertise as well to create the best imaginable wedding day for her clients. And to make her even more awesome, she’s a fellow home renovator and cat mom! We've worked together several times over the last few years, most recently at Cynthia & Luis's wedding last November.

Today’s interview is with Becky, the owner and designer of Roost Flowers. You may recognize Becky's work from the tropical styled shoot we did together last summer! Not only does Becky design beautiful bouquets, but she cuts many of her own flowers from the garden behind her shop, which she shares with two fantastic Virginia Beach restaurants, Esoteric and Commune. Next time you’re over that way, take a peek at the garden!
