Heirloom Blush & Berry Shoot at the Water Table

Adrienne of Hearts Content Events and Evelyn of Letterlyn Studio and I wanted to create a styled shoot that incorporated the richness of family heritage with beautiful romantic details. Our bride's bouquet, created by Adrienne, was a mix of garden and spray roses, es, hydrangea, dusty miller, and seeded eucalyptus with the perfect addition of blackberries. Six lace charms hung from the stem of the bouquet, representing the weddings of each woman in her family.

In addition to a beautiful calligraphy invitation suite, a sign on the cake table displayed the family heritage of our bride and groom, with their parents' and grandparents' names and wedding date. A four tiered wedding cake, combining blush, berry, and gold tones, and an antique compote vase of plums, blackberries, and fresh flowers rounded out the cake table.

But the centerpiece of the entire shoot was the romantic sweetheart table placed in front of The Water Table's beautiful fireplace. A 13 foot floral garland draped the mantle and gold flatware and antique berry-toned salad plates kept the reception tablescape looking elegant while still intimate.

Incorporating real family pieces into the stylized shoot made it even more special to us. Adrienne's heirloom pink sapphire ring, which has been passed down for 3 generations, was the perfect choice for our bride. We also used gold rimmed toasting flutes from her grandparents' wedding alongside plates and a compote vase from my mother's china collection. And Evelyn incorporated many of her family members names into the family tree that she created. These little touches helped each of us connect even more deeply with the shoot and gave the true heritage feel that we were looking for.
