Fall Wedding ~ Hampton Roads Wedding Photographer

This is another beautiful fall wedding I shot with my friends R&K Events in Portsmouth, VA. Weddings with them are always a blast! The dreary weather moved our ceremony indoors, but we were blessed with clear weather for the portraits. Here are my favorites from this fall themed wedding day!

I always try to capture the guys in their element. No posed stuff, just hanging out. Most of the time, the wedding day is all about the bride, so I try to work in some fun little details when I have the chance. And when you leave game controllers laying out, I just can't help taking the fun shot.

I thought these smore favors were very cute and perfect for their fall theme!

Ashleigh looked stunning in her dress! I'm so glad we had enough clear weather to do portraits outside! Inside portraits just aren't the same!

I always love the Mother-Son Dance! It's so sweet!

Frame Your Subject ~ HRC Photo Challenge

This week I took the prompt "frame your subject." I love the romance and intimacy of this moment, and how those emotions are increased with the focus on the door instead of the couple.

Itching to see more from this stylized shoot? Check out yesterday's post if you haven't seen it already, but other than that, you'll have to hold tight until we get this baby published.

Therese & Dell ~ Virginia Beach Wedding Photography

They say that a wedding is more than the joining of two people, it's the joining of two families. Therese and Dell's wedding was exactly that.

Dell's children already love Therese. They accepted her into their family long before any vows were spoken.

And after a beautiful beach ceremony, that love and acceptance was sealed forever. The two families became one.

Therese asked her two brothers to walk her down the aisle in the place of her late parents. But they were represented in the day by a beautiful magnolia that had been brought from their home.

After Therese and Dell exchanged vows, the entire family took part in a sand ceremony. Their faith in the Lord was symbolized by the rock in the bottom of the glass, and they poured the colored sand on top of their foundation rock.

Thank you, Kristi of Kristi Jo Photo for another amazing wedding! It's always a pleasure to 2nd shoot for you! Want to see another wedding?

2012 Weddings

Those of you who follow me on Facebook may have seen posts about weddings without any blog posts following them up. But they're coming soon! As soon as the holidays are over, I'll be recapping the weddings that I've second shot this year.

But for now, here's a sneak peek of Jordan and Mike's beautiful day at Founder's Inn.
